Wow, Alexander, that is pretty cool stuff, what material do you use beneath the brass shim? Paper or plastic and how thick is it.
May I add that your hinges look a lot nicer than photoetched ones usually do.
Keep on posting such informative and inspiring pictures, please.

所以纯手工制作模型是锻练动手的最好方式，同时，也需要动脑筋思考出最佳制作方法！！！

合页用蚀刻片就可以很简单的解决，难的是轴的制作，还有各种栓，这些套材都很难批量制作，这是考验功夫的啊！套材很多这部分都简化了，如果想改造，只能手工做。

Oh yes - sorry - missed that line explaining about the oil.
Can you tell me - does that wax oil sort of dry up or disappear into the wood after months/years? So is it something one should do again on a model or is once good enough for a very long time.
Oh - maybe you can also tell me exactly what is the chemical that the modellers use to dip the brass parts into which blackens them? is it an acid?

Wax oil practicaly the same like wooden varnish, but after covering not rase the pile of wood. Wax oil have deep saturate of wood for a very long time. Better consultation You con receive in parquet shop.

Second question -I usually use following simple composition: put in one liter of hot, not boiled, water two soap spoons of copper vitriol and one soap spoon of fixing agent, mixed and than filter.
